Merseyside Bed & Breakfast

Albert Dock, Liverpool, Merseyside

Merseyside is a county in the North West of England. The county takes in the Metropolitan boroughs of Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and the Wirral. The range of visitor attractions in this area are astounding ranging from country eastates to industrial museums and from the seaside resort of Southport to the modern attractions of Liverpool (European City of Culture 2008). While Liverpool has the majority of places of interest there are some excellent visitor attractions elsewhere in the county such as Knowsley Safari Park, St Helens' World of Glass, Formby pinewoods, Birkenhead Priory and the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight. Within the city of Liverpool you really are spoilt for choice with the city having some of the finest museums and galleries outside of London, Liverpool even has its own Tate Gallery, Tate Liverpool at the Albert Dock (pictured above). Of course football fans will know of the Merseyside teams of Liverpool and Everton and not to forget music fans, who are more than adequately catered for with numerous venues, many Beatles related attractions and even a rather good Elvis museum.
