Shropshire is a county in the West Midlands of England. Often shortened to Shrops. Shropshire has a number of places of interest which are simply breathtakingly beautiful and about one quarter of the county falls within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Furthermore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ironbridge Gorge, covers Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and a part of Madeley. The county town of Shropshire is Shrewsbury and there are a number of other towns including Dawley, Oswestry, Madeley and Newport. There are a number of places of interest with several churches and chapels, a few castles, halls and houses.
