Lostwithiel Bed & Breakfast

Lostwithiel is an old market town in the county of Cornwall, England. The small town is situated at the head of the estuary, and lowest bridging point, of the River Fowey. Surrounded by beautiful countryside Lostwithiel has two buildings which you should try to get to see. Firstly St Bartholomew's Church, a grade I listed building which is mainly 14th century but it features an unusual Breton inspired octagonal spire which is 13th century. Secondly Restormel Castle, a typical motte and bailey style castle built in 1100. The circular shale built shell of a keep sits at the top of a hill about a mile from the town. Also noteworthy is the 12th century bridge crossing the Fowey.
