Pitlochry is burgh in the council district of Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The small town, witha population of less than three thousand, is situateed on the banks of the River Tummel. Pictured above is the Pitlochry Power Station an unusual, but thoroughly entertaining and popular, visitor attraction. Known extensively as the 'gateway to the Highlands' tourism has played a vital role in the area's economy for a few hundred years.
