Perth and Kinross is a council area in the central belt of Scotland with the town of Perth its administrative centre. The land of Perth and Kinross is very fertile and much of it is turned over to agriculture which makes the scenery rather beautiful. While many folk head to the area to visit the many typical tourist attractions of fine castles, like Castle Menzies pictured above, and spectacular views, others choose to visit to enjoy more strenuous passtimes. Like most of Scotland there are many superb walks, suitable for all skill levels, across Perth and Kinross, however, maybe due to the fact that the area is so close to Glasgow and Edinburgh, many people use the area to enjoy sports such as white water rafting, cliff jumping, kayaking and many other outdoor sports.
