Stirling Bed & Breakfast

Stirling is a city and former ancient burgh of Scotland and the main administration centre for the larger Stirling Council area. The photograph above was taken from Stirling castle which is perched high above the city. Visitors should be aware that Stirling is a modern city but it is built up around the castle and the medieval old town, so walking up to Stirling Castle involves a steep climb up a thin and winding road. Just outside the castle is a car park and entry fee into the castle includes entry to the nearby Argyll's Lodging and entry to the Regimental Museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (in the King's Old Building of Stirling Castle) is free but please leave a donation as they do not get any cash from the entry fee to the castle and they rely totally upon donations to maintain this wonderful museum.
