Stornoway is the main town on the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles/ Outer Hebrides of Scotland. While many visitors to the island choose to stay in the town of Stornoway for the array of amenities there are so many places about the islands that are well worth a visit and visiting the adjoining Isle of Harris may merit an evening in a Harris guest house so that you can enjoy your visit to the full. If you are visiting Stornoway it is well worth taking the time to take a wander around the lovely Lews Castle grounds (pictured above), though the castle is closed the grounds are truly beautiful and most relaxing.
